Society at large is confused by the recent news items regarding the trends of suicides amongst youngsters. Several reasons could be ascribed to this extreme step, including peer pressures, educational stress and home -front problems.

A panel of experts from various fields will discuss the different issues involved.

“RAINBOW 2010 – Teaching Aid Exhibition”

Indian women Scientists’ Association (IWSA) had organized Teaching Aid exhibition made by teacher’s Trainees (2009-2010) at IWSA’s “ICICI Multipurpose Hall", Plot No. 20, Sector 10A, Vashi, Navi Mumbai on Wednesday 17^th February and Thursday 18^th February 2010 from 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Inauguration was held on Wednesday, February 17, by Dr. Jayshree Ramdas, Dean, Homi Bhabha Centre For Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai.

There were three puppet shows:  Sunhare shabd(in Hindi)  Rainbow fish (in English) and Swapnatil gammat    (in Marathi) at 10.30 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. on both the days.

Hostel Day Celebration
 

The Hostel Day  for the year 2010 was celebrated on 16th January2010, with great enthusiasm at the IWSA Multipurpose Hall, followed by dinner Hostelites gave excellent presentation of songs, dance and fashion show, prizes were given to all participants and also the hostelites for best maintained rooms ,Besides hostelites, IWSA members, office bears, IWSA Staff were present on the  occasion
